The National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA)
NHS​DA is a program that recognizes artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in students studying dance public and private schools, community centers, performing arts organizations, and post secondary education. 

How can I join?

1. Contact Ms. Miranda and attend a meeting
   1. If you are interesting in participating in the Ridge Dance Department, please email [email protected]. Please refer to our Ridge Dance Team, Collective, and NHSDA pages for informational meeting dates. If you are interested in our Ridge Dance Classes, please contact your guidance counselor to implement the class into your school schedule and then email Mrs. Miranda for more information. 
2. Submit your forms and buy your gear!
   1. In order to become a member of the Ridge Dance extracurriculars, you must fill out some paperwork. Please find below all of the necessary paperwork and individual due dates for each piece of paperwork.

Thank you Phoebe Ballard for Choreographing another beautiful dance for our members of the National Honors Society for Dance Arts!

Congratulations to the Ridge Dance Team on their outstanding performances at Starbound Competition on February 24th, 2024. Large Group Hip Hop and Large Group Jazz won Elite Gold. Production won High Gold. Both Production and Large Group Hip Hop won first overall in their category! Congratulations dancers!

Congratulations to the Ridge Dance Team on their outstanding performances at On Point Competition on March 17th, 2024. Production, Large Group Hip Hop, and Large Group Jazz won High Gold. Large Group Hip Hop wont 1st Overall in their category, a 2nd place Dynamic Award, and a special judge’s award for “Fantastic Formations”. Large Group Jazz won 2nd overall in the category and a 2nd place Dynamic Award. Production also won a 2nd place Dynamic Award. Congratulations dancers!

Congratulations to the Ridge Dance Team on their phenomenal performances at Groove Dance Competition on March 23rd, 2024. Production, Large Group Hip Hip, and Large Group Jazz won first place in the category. Large Group Jazz won Diamond. Both Production and Large Group Hip Hop won Elite Diamond. Production received the “Work It” judge’s award. Terrific job dancers!
